Hydro-Dip is owned and operated by Scott and Todd Springer. We are both competitive 100,200, and 300 yard benchrest shooters as well as avid sportsmen and coyote hunters.

The idea of Hydro-Dip was originally inspired by this particular shooting sport. We had been looking for an affordable method for decorating our rifles with a durable high-end finish. I began calling paint shops and a bit to my surprise I found that most of the shops wanted to charge $600 and more for any custom paint work. In my opinion that’s too high!

What you can expect from Hydro-Dip.

We take pride in everything we do, whether it be family, shooting sports, or Hydro-Dipping, we give the best we can possibly give to each and every situation.

You will receive top notch customer service. If you call or email we will be there to receive it and respond to you within minutes—NOT DAYS OR MONTHS!

We have a 2-3 week turn around or less at Hydro-Dip

We use only top notch automotive paint products.

Durability is achieved by the top coat that is applied to your product. It’s the same exact product you find on your car and with care could last a life time if not more. You choose the sheen you would like. Generally the camo guys like a matte finish and the fancy stuff gets semi-gloss or high gloss finishes. We cut and buff our high gloss finishes which is a bit more expensive than the others. It’s simply about the time required to make it really shine.

BR Pricing stock (ready to paint) we don't do body work. If you choose to fill pin holes and other body work please finish the stock with no less than 320 grit sandpaper.

Pricing on a basic synthetic hunting stock with a matte finish is $99 Wood stocks require a sealer before dipping so as not to cause swelling or cracking. This will put you in the $125 range. If the stock is a non-standard shape that requires two dips, the price will increase accordingly. Generally speaking, stocks will range from $99 to $300, depending on what you want and how much extra work is involved with your particular situation.

Return shipping is $20

Todd or myself personally inspect every item before it leaves our shop. If it is less than perfect, we REDO IT!

Just wanted to write and THANK YOU !!!! For such an awesome job on my gun. I cannot believe how well all the patterns line up !!!

I was at a show on Sat. with guys from Sportsmen's Warehouse, Showed them the gun they said it was a far better job than they see from a factory gun. Gave them a brochure, I'm sure you will be hearing from them.

Also at the show was a Taxidermist that I work with, He will be calling you about doing the Skull plates on some antlers. He was glad to find a company that does dipping in Idaho.
